EDUCATION:
Whilst government
education is limited to UAE nationals, it provides a wide variety of Private
education, to cater for each major nationality group in the UAE. Each nationality group, follow the
curriculum that would be covered at home, so that expatriate children's education
is enhanced rather than hindered.
Schools vary in
size and the facilities offered and the choice is not generally limited by
nationality of the child, however some schools do exercise a pricing strategy
to attract high income expatriates.
Facilities vary
between schools but generally the facilities cover the basic requirements of
school education including adequate sporting facilities (including swimming
pools), libraries, and IT and science labs.
Some of the more expensive schools have purpose built premises, and
excellent child / teacher ratios.
Some of the
expensive purpose built schools, particularly some of the American and British
schools, are extremely popular with UAE nationals wishing to gain a private
education for further education in those countries.
